The Lisbon to Obidos day trip is relatively short. You will enjoy just over an hour’s drive across idyllic farms and nature. With roughly 85 kilometers or less than 40 miles, to cover, you will have a comfortable ride across the countryside. The short distance allows for a rich experience with more time dedicated to sightseeing. Keep your eyes peeled across the entire trip to avoid missing some gems.
Obidos is a terrific attraction that will astound both the young and old. The medieval village will mesmerize you with its beauty and tradition. The wide range of historical lessons to learn makes Obidos a popular site, attracting both religious and pagan clients. The picturesque village creates an idyllic backdrop for memorable photos and videos.
We only serve a maximum of 8 clients per trip. Our vehicles can only carry so many people. It explains why we offer services for small groups, although larger groups can be accommodated. Clients will be divided by eight, ensuring that each vehicle does not exceed its recommended capacity. Small groups are easily manageable, ensuring our excellent guides pay attention to each client. This is unlike large groups, which are difficult to manage, mainly due to limited time. To maximize the satisfaction of each client, we prefer small groups.
The safety and security of our visitors are our priority, but you have to take care of your personal belongings on your own. Stay aware of crowded places, even though Obidos is a safe destination. Nighttime attractions such as bars and restaurants exist, but you must cater for yourselves. The nightlife in these villages is relatively subdued, so do not expect a party atmosphere. Since religious tourism is the main attraction, drinking and partying won’t be a popular pastime.
You will need as little as one to four hours to unravel Obidos’ beauty and splendor. There are unlimited sites to explore, from the cobbled streets to the buildings. You should pay attention to the time spent traveling back to your hotel or other destination. For those with more time on their hands, feel free to discover the variety of sites within the village at your own pace. There are even jeep safaris for the more adventurous clients wishing to enjoy the magical sights, sands, and scenery.
There are places you can stay overnight in the medieval village. You can choose from hotels and guesthouses on the site. Casa Picva is a famous guest house, while Adubai Obidos can host a family or small groups. The castle also includes a hotel, Pousada Castelo de Obidos, that offers nightly services. However, take note that each facility has different prices. You will need to do some research beforehand to get the best deals the coastal town offers. One should visit Obidos during the surfing season to have the best time of their life.
